We explain what hiring your first employee involves: insurance, registrations, the employment contract and the first pay. We get all the steps right in one go.
When a business hires an employee, the employer takes on new obligations. The employee must be covered by statutory earnings-related pension insurance (TyEL) and accident insurance, and wages must be reported to the Incomes Register (tulorekisteri).
An employer that pays wages regularly must register in the Finnish Tax Administration's (Verohallinto) employer register (työnantajarekisteri). The employer must also arrange occupational health care and provide the employment contract details, among other things.
When the start-up is handled properly in one go, the first wages can be paid correctly and the reports go out on time.
