Incomes Register and corrections
The Incomes Register (tulorekisteri) is a national electronic database to which employers report wages and other earned income. The data is used by, for example, the Finnish Tax Administration (Verohallinto), Kela (the Social Insurance Institution of Finland), pension providers and unemployment funds.
Wage data must, as a rule, be reported no later than the fifth calendar day after the payment date. If a report contains an error, it must be corrected without delay, as incorrect data can affect, for example, the employee's benefits or taxation.
