Site-by-site tracking means that each site is allocated its own income, wages, materials, subcontracts and equipment costs. The result shows the real margin of the site.
When the figures are updated at the same pace as the bookkeeping, overruns and wastage are spotted while the work is still under way, not only after the site is finished.
